Subconscious mind power techniques help you harness your subconscious mind, an area widely neglected in Western culture where we are raised to live in our conscious minds and to believe that’s all there is.
In reality, our conscious mind makes up for no more than a mere 5 percent of what goes on in our brains. The rest are made up of the unconscious and the subconscious minds.
The unconscious controls all the bodily funcions that happen without you havin to think about them at all: autonomic nerve functions, our heart, our other organs, breathing, enzymes, hormone secretion and so much more.
In a similar way, the subconscious also accounts for much activity that you don’t have access to, such as what happens in your mind during your sleep, and the background programs that are running all the time while you are engaged in day to day living.
In my articles on subconscious mind programming, and “Does self hypnosis work?” I wrote about how these subconscious prorams come to be, how you accept them and take them as a given. In my article on mind power techniques for mastering your emotions, I taught you some more traditional therapeutic skills that can help you bring awareness into the otherwise dark night of the subconscious.
This article will focus on four more advanced, subconscious mind power techniques that can help you shape your reality at will rather than continue to feel like a victim of circumstance: meditation, self hypnosis, Havening Techniques® and the power of hypnotic language.
Of these four techniques, meditation is the most common and best known one. Everyone has heard of it, and it increasingly becoming more accepted in the West, although meditation in my opinion is still poorly understood.
There are myths around it.
For example some people think that meditation is something spiritual or religious. While used in religious practice, for example in Buddhism, meditation itself is not religious at all. It is simply a set of techniques that help you calm your mind and focus better.
Other people think meditation is too big a commitment for them not realizing that there are techniques for the modern day that can be applied in 10 to 20 minutes a day.
Others again wonder why you would bother meditating at all. All I can say on that is that for me, incorporating meditation in my daily routine immediately brought huge positive changes in my life.
I highly recommend practicing both meditation and self hypnosis. They work very well together. Meditation calms your mind, self hypnosis fills it with positive beliefs that can resource you, as well as ideas and motivation to achieve your goals.
I have written an article on how you can use self hypnosis and meditation in perfect sync to boost your success in life. Self hypnosis is next on my list of subconscious mind power techniques.
I have written a good few articles on self help hypnosis, including on self hypnosis techniques and auto suggestion which will help you learn about this fascinating method for harnessing your subconscious.
I highly recommend incorporating some self hypnosis into your daily routine.
Self hypnosis enables you to truly become the master of your destiny. Rather than accepting the programs that are currently running, you can examine them, keep the ones that are helpful and discard the rest, then replace them with programs of your own making.
You can practice self hypnosis in as little as 20 minutes a day. To save time, I now double this up with self havening which I will tell you about next.
Havening Techniques®, invented by New York based brothers Dr. Ron and Dr. Steve Ruden, are a new kid on the block where personal development techniques are concerned. The modality has only been around for a few years.
Havening Techniques® are based on neuroscientific research which the brothers studied for ten years before designing the techniques they teach. With Havening, seeing is believing. At first glance it seems that such simple techniques could not possible have the profound effects people claim they have. Yet they do.
If you have traumas, anxiety or toxic emotions to clear, I highly recommend using Havening (working with a practitioner) It is swift, effective, gentle and powerful both and most importantly, the changes achieved are permanent. Havening gives you direct access to your subconscious mind in an easy way. Of all the subconscious mind power techniques I recommend in this article, Havening is my current favorite.
You can use it for self help, too. I have written an article on self havening which is fantastic for building resilience and priming yourself for a project or simply for a great day ahead. Using self havening, you can install any positive state or feeling you want. You can bring your subconscious mind on board with what you need it to do for you at any given time. Doesn’t that sound tempting?
The circle I am drawing in this article closes with hypnotic language. I recommend hypnotic language for use in self hypnosis, but also to incorporate in your daily life.
You can become the master of your inner self talk by using hypnotic language. And being the master of your self talk means being the master of your subconscious. As simple as that. Hypnotic language puts lots of power into your hands.
I have written a detailed article on the secret language of hypnotherapy that will help you pick up some lesser known language skills that you can easily master with a little bit of practice.
Anger Hypnosis- How Forgiveness Will Boost Your Success in Life: Do you tend to respond to events in your life by feeling anger a lot? Find out why anger may be holding you back in life. Learn why working on forgiveness in every area of your life is essential when you want to become successful.
Hypnosis for self Esteem- Why Most People Should Consider it: Find out why I recommend that most people seeking success should consider self esteem hypnosis.
Confidence Hypnosis: See if you could benefit from boosting your confidence.
These are the four subconscious mind power techniques that I recommend above all others. Give a couple of them a go and I believe you won’t look back.
You will need regular practice, that’s a basic requirement for learning any new skill, and it’s very very doable.
Let our community know in the comments underneath which mind power technique you are going to practice.
